As I hinted at in the last post, this blog will have an approach to fashion very different from my former one. It is all about taking things more slowly, no longer indulging in the fast fashion hunger. I decided to no longer buy any items from fast fashion brands that care for neither their workers nor the environment. However, I'm not just going to get rid of all my fast fashion clothes and buy a bunch of ethical sustainable ones. That would not be very sustainable. Instead, I'm going to keep wearing the clothes I have and love, even if they are fast fashion, to get the most wear possible out of them and sell the clothes I don't wear often enough. As for everything new I want to add to my wardrobe, I will stick to fair and sustainable brands! In this process, I have noticed so far, that my wardrobe has become a lot more basic – and I'm totally fine with that! In the end, it's timeless pieces like a white T or a pair of black jeans that I will wear over and over again, regardless of any trends.

Organic Basics approached me a few weeks ago and asked me whether I wanted to try out some of their products. They use GOTS certified organic cotton for all of their cotton products and are very transparent about their factories and supply chain.

From what I can say, their tees are super soft and comfortable, they wash really well and are easy to iron! So if you are looking for a lightweight basic T-shirt, that is also great for layering, I'd definitely recommend them.
