Grød

Have breakfast at famous Grød in Jægersborggade the very heart of Nørrebro. Founded in 2011 this restaurant was the first original location of the popular porridge bar - the mothership. Choose between gluten free or regular porridge and pick your favorite topping or try them all on their "all-in porridge".

Superkilen

Nørrebrogade 210

Superkilen

Head up further north and explore the public park Superkilen. The design is the product of a collaboration between BIG Architects, Superflex and Topotek1. It consists of objects from 60 different nationalities reflecting the diversity of the people inhabiting the area surrounding Superkilen - from exercise gear from muscle beach LA to palm trees from China and neon signs from Qatar and Russia.

Kaktus København

Jægersborggade 35,
2200 Kopenhagen N

Monday - Friday  11.00 - 18.00
Saturday 10.00 - 16.00

Kaktus København

This wonderful little store is the Denmark's first concept store just for cacti! So if you anywhere near as much of a plant friend are as I am, you will LOVE Kaktus København. Even if you can't take one of the little spiny friends home with you, check out their cute ceramic pots and cactus art. Also, look for inspiration and tips on how to take care of your succulents - cause with enough light, love and a little bit of water, they are basically immoral!

Meyers Bageri

Jægersborggade 9
2200 København

Monday - Friday 07.00 - 18.00
Saturday & Sunday 07.00 - 16.00

Meyers Bageri

Back on Jægersborggade check out Meyers Bageri. This bakery was opened by The Danish chef and entrepreneur, Claus Meyer, along with a baker and a confectioner.  Try out some typical Danish pastries just never ever ask for "A Danish"! Instead get a Tebirkes, a kind of sweet poppyseed bun with almond paste. I'm craving one, looking for a recipe online right now. Or try the cinnamon rolls Kanelsnurrer. There are multiple branches scattered around town so if you spot one, stop by!

Assistens Kirkegård

Kapelvej 4
2200 København N

Monday - Sunday 7.00 - 22.00

Assistens Kirkegård

Leave Jægersborggade and take a calming walk through the park like Assistens Cemetry. A number of Danish notables were buried here, amongst them philosopher Søren Kierkegaard and author Hans Christian Andersen, best known for his fairy tales. Walk southeast through the park to get to your next destinations.

Nørrebrogade

"Below" Assistens Kirkegård scattered all over Nørrebrogade and its adjoining streets you'll find an abundance of cute concept stores and Scandinavian high-end fashion. You should check out Urban Room NO. 11, Mr. Larkin, Acne Archive and Wood Wood Museum (both are outlet stores!). Another shopping tip: look out on facebook for any sample or stock sales in Copenhagen! The last three times I visited the city there was always a sample sale going on and I managed to get my hands on some pieces from Wood Wood, Mads Nørgaard and Stine Goya for a fraction of the original price.

Botanical Gardens and SMK

Crossing the Dronning Louises Bridge you're technically leaving Norrebro but there are two more spots which you should check out when in this area: the Botanisk Have the Royal Botanical Gardens and the Statens Museum for Kunst. Both definitely worth checking out!
